Penthouse with an altana and a view of the Duomo's dome

The dome is there, six hundred metres away, and every morning the sun colours it before reaching the surrounding roofs. The timber altana has been rebuilt in the manner of traditional Florentine ones, with a spiral staircase rising above the 50 m² terrace: a second level from which to look at the hills.

Inside, 150 m² with a double living room, a kitchen with a stone island, three bedrooms and two bathrooms; the floor is bleached oak, the walls limewashed. Heating is independent, air conditioning ducted, and the lift arrives directly in the hall.

We are on the fifth floor of a 1928 building, a short walk from the basilica of San Lorenzo. There is no parking space, but a partner garage is five minutes away.
